Working Process - Portraits and Illustration
How long will my image take?
Usually between 3 - 5 weeks. However, during busy periods it can take up to three months. Early booking for seasonal and events is essential to avoid disappointment.
How do you work?
I work primarily in Photoshop. Using a mixture of custom brushes and textures I aim to create as life-like a portrait as possible.
I want to cancel the commission. Will you refund my deposit?
No. All deposits are non-refundable. If you truly wish to cancel your portrait, please contact me as soon as possible. If cancellation occurs after 7 days of order confirmation a £10 cancellation charge and 5% of the overall fee will be incurred. Work can be cancelled by email, telephone or post.
I live outside of the UK... will you ship to me?
Of course! an additional £3 is required for postal fees for international mailing. All packages will be sent first class recorded. You will need to be in to sign for your portrait.
Will you refund my money if I'm not happy with my portrait?
If you are not happy with the final image I will refund your money - less the deposit and postal fees - as long as the image is returned to me undamaged and within 14 days.
Will you ship framed portraits?
No. There is too much risk that the glass will be damaged and thus ruin the portrait. If, however you live locally (within 10 miles) I will be happy to frame and deliver the protrait personally or you are welcome to come pick it up. Please note that the cost of the frame will be added to your final bill and that £5 will be charged to cover delivery costs.
Help! I really want to get a portrait done for a special occasion in two weeks, can you do it?
Two weeks is a pretty tight deadline, especially when considering postal times... Each request will be handled case by case and may incur extra charges- eg: labour and postage costs - but I will certainly give it important consideration. Please note though, that time limitations may cause me to have to decline.
Prints
I just ordered a print from your store. How long will it take to get here?
I do not dispatch any image until payment has cleared. With Paypal this is generally immediate. With cheques and other forms of payment it will take a little longer. I will put your order in the first post after your payment has cleared and notify you immediately. Upon confirmation of postage please allow 28 days for delivery. You, or someone you know will need to be in to sign for the parcel. I am not responsible for non-delivery.
